Blue Baby Syndrome is a serious illness in infants that is caused by excessive amounts of Nitrates in an infants body.

Infants under one year of age should not drink water exceeding the drinking water standard of 10 parts per million (ppm) of Nitrate. Boiling water will kill bacteria in well water, but it will not reduce the level of Nitrate.

Women who are pregnant or who are trying to become pregnant should not consume water that is high in Nitrate as it is suspected that this is passed along to the fetus.

Use our inexpensive Nitrate/Nitrite test strip to quickly check for Nitrates in your water supply.
